Young couple trend to have a lot of design ideas in minds before the furniture is delivered, however, the idea will be altered frequently when locating them or calculating budget. The traditional solution is to buy a sofa with a coffee table or even just two chairs with a square shape table from IKEA instead – we call this “Super Minimalist style” – standing for the true attitude of the young generation’s lifestyle. Nowadays, the sofa has two roles to play: one is the role of sofa as you know, the other one is a bed. This defines and determines the nature of the living room: it is a living room when a sofa is a sofa, and it is a bedroom when the sofa transform to a bed.

To those who have children, they think that a durable sofa is a must for their role of a couch potato during the weekend, the other use of sofa would be the “trampoline” for the monkey-like-children who love to jump on and off from time to time. If the sofa is firm and wide enough, it would be great if having a nap when feeling sleepy after lunch time. That mean you obtain a relatively freedom which is luxury to even a boss.

Middle-aged and elderly people may find that inadequate classic style furniture is available in showroom. This doesn’t mean the traditional crafts is out of times. On the contrary, they remain take nearly  30% of the market because they are extremely durable that some of the craftsmen who manufactured them had retired already. My neighbour has a classic chair which is inherited from her parents since 1960s. Lacking senior human resources leave the Minimalism and Contemporary style a loophole to take its toll, but to be honest, the fresh generation are pretty practical, “the cheaper the better” philosophy mastered them regardless the classical masterpiece.
